We've lived and worked in Lancaster and Indian Land for decades. This community isn't a market to us. It's ours too.

The David Blackwell Law Foundation
The David Blackwell Law Foundation was created with a simple belief: when we invest in our community’s children and families, we help build a stronger future for everyone. What began by supporting local youth sports teams and classrooms has grown into a broader commitment to organizations and initiatives focused on youth, education, health, safety, and community well-being.
Through the years, David Blackwell Law and the Foundation have given back more than $500,000 to the community, supporting local schools, nonprofits, sports programs, community events, and families throughout the region. The Foundation also supports opportunities like the Trade Skills Scholarship, helping students pursue hands-on careers while removing some of the financial barriers to their education.

The Trade Skills Scholarship
We started the Trade Skills Scholarship through the David Blackwell Foundation because we believe a four year degree isn't the only path worth investing in.
Each year, we award scholarships to students pursuing careers in the trades, helping students take the next step toward a career in the skilled trades. This is our first year running the program, and we can't wait to watch it grow.
Here for our Community
We believe in being present not only in the courtroom, but on the sidelines, at local events, and wherever our neighbors are gathering. That’s why we are so committed to the following causes and programs:
Lancaster County Chamber’s YP Program:
We are the primary sponsor for the Lancaster County Chamber YP Program (formerly the Young Professionals under 40). Supporting our young professionals in their efforts to become better leaders also helps them to be of greater service to our community. Everyone wins, every time.
Community Education First:
For sixteen years, David taught business law at USCL because we have always believed that practical knowledge changes lives. That same commitment shows up today through community education forums and seminars. Sharing what we know with the people around us has always been part of how we show up for our community.
Giving back is more than something we do. It’s part of who we are. By showing up, lending a hand, and investing in the people who make our community stronger, we’re continuing our ongoing motion for a brighter future.
Proudly Living in Lancaster County and Serving All of South Carolina
We represent clients throughout Lancaster, Indian Land, Fort Mill, Rock Hill, Buford, Heath Springs, Kershaw, and surrounding South Carolina communities. Wherever you're located, if something happens here in South Carolina, we want to help you understand what comes next.
We run focus groups made up of real community members, people like the ones who might one day sit on a jury. Their honest perspective helps us understand how a situation might be seen by others, long before it ever reaches a courtroom.
It's a rare approach, and it's one we believe makes us better advocates for the people we represent. If you're interested in taking part, we'd love to hear from you.
