Getting Young Athletes and Students in Gear

We at David Blackwell Law believe that when children in our community are successful, we all benefit. So we started a program that helps our youth get what they need on the field and in the classroom. This program was known as Justice4Kids.
We are excited to announce that the Justice4Kids program is now the David Blackwell Law Foundation!

Our mission remains steadfast, and through initiatives like grants for coaches and teachers to obtain equipment and supplies, we continue our commitment to empowering the next generation.

Why is this cause dear to us? Because we want tomorrow’s leaders to have the opportunity to make something of themselves today. And, by showing them how compassionate and caring their community is, they’ll be sure to keep this cycle of doing good.

Why We Do This

As a law firm, we work to get clients the compensation they need and deserve in order to move on with their lives following an accident. But we’re also part of a loving and giving community, one that believes in supporting the people who shape tomorrow’s leaders. Outside of parents, we see youth sport coaches and school teachers as having the strongest influence on children.

We say this based on direct experience. Our firm founder and principal, David Blackwell, has been a coach for community sports for many years. His wife has been a part of the local education system, and Dana Stogner, our legal assistant, has a daughter who’s a teacher.

When children participate in sports, it strengthens their self-esteem, builds their character, and fosters their ability to work with and as a team. The coaches who oversee and lead these young athletes do more than tell them where to go on the field and show them how to score a goal — they shape who they become. Of course, by nature of their profession, our school teachers also provide kids with the fundamental education they need for virtually every facet of their lives.
